The hirer is responsible for the property and is expected
to take all reasonable care of it, allowing the owner or their
agents reasonable access, all breakages being replaced, or
paid for in value to be replaced, all electrical appliances
to be left clean and in good working order; and allowing
only those named on the booking form to occupy the property.
An inventory will be found at the property and will be assumed
to be correct unless any discrepancies are notified separately
to the owners within 24hrs of arrival.
If for any reason beyond the owners' control, the property
is not available for the dates booked: (e.g. fire damage)
all the money paid by the hirers will be refunded in full,
but this is the owners' sole liability.
The owners do not accept liability for any accidents, damage,
loss or injury, expenses or inconveniences whether to the
person or the property, which the hirer or any other person
may suffer or incur arising out of, or in any connection to
the letting.
If the hirer feels he/she has ground for complaints, such
complaints must be taken up immediately with the owners, so
that remedial action can be taken if required. In no circumstances
will compensation be made at a later date.
If there is a breach of any of these conditions the owners
reserve the right to re-enter the property and terminate the
tenancy without prejudice to the rights and the remedies of
the owners.
The person signing the booking form, who must be a member
of the party intending to occupy the property, certifies the
authorised to agree the conditions of booking on behalf of
all the persons named on the booking form, included those
who substituted or added at a later date.
BOOKING CONDITIONS
Conditions shall be between the person signing the booking
form (herein after called the hirer) and Mrs. E. A. Shorney.
The Travellers Rest Holiday Cottages (herein after called
the owners) and is deemed to have been made at the above address.
The proper law of the contract is English.
Bookings will be confirmed on receipt of the signed booking
form accompanied by a deposit of one quarter of the rent.
This deposit is non refundable. The hirer is liable for full
payment of the balance to be sent 4 weeks before the start
of tenancy.
If for any reason prior to the 4 weeks, the hirer wishes to
cancel, every effort will be made to re-let the property.
If re-let the hirer will only forfeit his deposit plus any
loss incurred by the owner. After the balance of rent is due
at the end of 4 weeks, no refunds can be made.
The tenancy confers upon the hirer the right to occupy for
a holiday within the meaning of section 9 of the Rent Act
1977.
Letting will commence at 3.30pm on the first day, and end
at 10.30am on the day of departure.
